Cincinnati Bengals 16, Kansas City Chiefs 6
The Chiefs got pushed around again yesterday by the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. The Chiefs just couldn’t get off the field on defense as the Bengals had possession of the football for 37:39 of this game. The Bengals rushed for a stunning 204 yards on 39 carries (5.2 ypc) against the Chiefs’ defense which is totally unacceptable!
The Chiefs didn’t put much of a fight on offense against the Bengals’ defense. Larry Johnson only rushed for 18 yards on 10 carries (1.8 ypc) against the Bengals. Tyler Thigpen also didn’t have his best game of the year completing 19 of 36 passes for 191 yards with 1 TD pass. Dwyane Bowe led the way in the passing game for the Chiefs with 103 yards on 10 catches (10.3 avg), but, Tony Gonzalez caught the only TD pass from Thigpen as he finished with 5 grabs for 53 yards. The Chiefs only finished with 220 total yards on offense in this game. The Kansas City Chiefs finished up the 2008 season with a 2-14 record which caused them to finish dead last in the AFC West.
