The Chiefs have waived punter Steve Weatherford because starter Dustin Colquitt is ready to return from injury.  Weatherford punted the ball 12 times for 512 yards (42.7 avg) for the Chiefs this season.  He placed 1 punt inside the 20 but he had trouble with touchbacks (4 of them).  Colquitt is back from a groin injury and that should help the Chiefs big time.  He has punted the ball 37 times this season for the Chiefs for 1,772 yards (47.9 avg).  He has placed 14 punts inside the opposing 20-yard line and he only has three touchbacks.
