The Chiefs really played a great game last Sunday as everything went according to planned.  Damon Huard did a solid job of managing the game by completing 21 of 28 passes for 160 yards with 1 TD and 0 interceptions.  Larry Johnson was the star of the show for the Chiefs in this football game as he rushed for 198 yards on 28 carries (7.1 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Dwyane Bowe led the way in the passing game for the Chiefs with 85 yards on 7 catches (12.1 avg).  TE Tony Gonzalez also had a decent game with 3 grabs for 47 yards (15.7 avg) with a TD.  The Chiefs finished up with 213 yards rushing on 33 carries (6.5 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 28 passes for 157 yards.

The defense didn’t play great but they took advantage of the opportunities presented to them.  DB Dimitri Patterson led the way for the Chiefs on defense with 9 tackles.  Rookie CBs Brandon Flowers (7 tackles, fumble recovery) and Brandon Carr (2 tackles, interception, fumble recovery) both came to play against the solid set of WRs the Broncos threw at them.  Linebacker Derrick Johnson also had a very solid game with 6 tackles, 1/2 a sack and a interception.  The Broncos finished up with 94 yards rushing on 22 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 49 passes for 352 yards.  The Chiefs are now 1-3 on the season.
