The Chiefs got pushed around yesterday by the Chargers.  Damon Huard completed 19 of 34 passes for 186 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions before he led the game with a hand injury.  Tyler Thigpen replaced Huard and he only completed 2 of 6 passes for 41 yards with 1 interception.  Kolby Smith had a solid game running the ball with 21 carries for 83 yards (4.0 ypc).  Tony Gonzalez had a superhuman effort as he caught 10 passes for 140 yards to lead the way in the passing game for the Chiefs.  Dwyane Bowe kicked in with 5 catches for 55 yards (11.0 avg).  The Chiefs finished up with 88 yards rushing on 25 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 40 passes for 180 yards.

Safety Bernard Pollard led the way for the defense with 9 tackles.  But, it was DE Jared Allen that made the biggest impact on the game for the Chiefs as he had 4 tackles, 2 sacks and he also caught a 2-yard TD pass on offense!  The Chargers finished up with 191 yards rushing on 32 carries (6.0 ypc) and they also completed 10 of 21 passes for 139 yards.
