New Orleans Saints 30, Kansas City Chiefs 7

The Chiefs looked pathetic on both sides of the football last night.  The Chiefs wanted to name a starting QB after last night’s game but they couldn’t because of how poorly Brodie Croyle played.  Croyle was awful last night as he only completed 5 of 17 passes for 45 yards with an interception.  Casey Printers didn’t look much better than Croyle as he completed 3 of 7 passes for 16 yards.  The only QB that looked good was undrafted rookie Jeff Terrell out of Princeton.  Terrell completed all 5 of his pass attempts for 54 yards.  The running game didn’t help matters much either.  Michael Bennett (7 car, 27 yards) and Marcus O’Keith (3 car, 10 yards, TD) were the leaders on the ground for the Chiefs last night.  The Chiefs finished the game rushing for 54 yards on 18 carries (3.0 ypc) and they completed 13 of 29 passes for 99 yards.

The defense was left on the field all night long as the Saints held the ball for 37:13.  The Saints did whatever they wanted against the Chiefs’ defense.  The Saints rushed for 197 yards on 37 carries (5.3 ypc) and they completed 29 of 34 passes for 282 yards.
