The Chiefs get good production from their TEs again
It’s no surprise that the Chiefs TEs played well again. Tony Gonzalez is the ring leader as he caught over 70 passes in a season for the 7th time in his career. The Chiefs were smart to sign him before he got to free agency. Gonzalez played in 15 games last season (all starts) and he caught 73 passes for 900 yards (12.3 avg) with 5 TD grabs. For his career, Gonzalez has played in 158 games (142 starts) and he has caught 721 passes for 8,710 yards (12.1 avg) with 61 TD grabs.
Kris Wilson moved to fullback after Ronnie Cruz hurt himself but he’s still really a tight end. He played in all 16 games (10 starts) and he caught 15 passes for 132 yards (8.8 avg) with 3 TD catches. For his career, Wilson has played in 33 games (11 starts) and he has caught 18 passes for 165 yards (9.2 avg) with 3 TD grabs.
Jason Dunn is the #3 guy in the pecking order at tight end. He is mostly used as a blocker in the running game and he’s good at his job. He played in 15 games last season (5 starts) and he caught 4 passes for 40 yards (10.0 avg). For his career, Dunn has played in 144 games (48 starts) and he’s caught 79 passes for 901 yards (11.4 avg) with 11 TD grabs.
