The Chiefs off-season QB decision will be an interesting one

Damon Huard has completely outplayed Trent Green this season, but Huard will likely leave the Chiefs if he doesn’t get the starting gig in KC.  Trent Green was been rusty all season, but he might still have some cobwebs in his head from his severe concussion earlier in the season.

Damon Huard played in 10 games (8 starts) this season.  He completed 148 of 244 passes (60.7%) for 1,878 yards with 11 TD passes and only 1 interception (98.0 QB rating).  He also ran the ball 9 times for 9 yards (1.0 ypc).  For his career, Huard has played in 48 games (14 starts) and has completed 318 of 533 passes (59.7%) for 3,569 yards with 20 TD passes and 9 interceptions (85.2 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 39 times for 136 yards (3.5 ypc).

Trent Green played in 8 games (all starts) this season and he completed 121 of 198 passes (61.1%) for 1,342 yards with 7 TD passes and 9 interceptions (74.1 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 19 times for 59 yards (3.1 ypc).  For his career, he has played in 112 games (107 starts) he completed 2,143 of 3,527 passes (60.8%) for 26,963 yards with 157 TD passes and 101 interceptions (87.5 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 233 times for 878 yards (3.8 ypc) and 6 TD runs.

Rookie Brodie Croyle appeared in 2 games this season and it didn’t look good.  He completed 3 of 7 passes (42.9%) for 23 yards and 2 INTs (11.9 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 3 times for a loss of 3 yards.
