Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

The first time these two teams played the result was a thrilling 9-6 win for the Broncos in OT.  Look for a similar low-scoring contest on Turkey Day.

Look for the Broncos to come out running the ball with Mike Bell (395 yards rushing) and Damien Nash.  The Chiefs defense is a little soft against the run as they allow 115.7 yards rushing per game and 3.9 yards per carry.  The Broncos will probably take a few deep shots down the field to Javon Walker (45 rec, 799 yards) but for the most part the Broncos offense will be conservative.

The Chiefs will pound the ball with Larry Johnson (1,045 yards rushing) right at the heart of the Broncos defense.  The Broncos only allow 90.1 yards rushing per game and 3.7 yards per carry, but LaDainian Tomlinson had a huge game against them last week and Johnson will try to duplicate that.  Look for Trent Green to be very careful throwing the ball against the ball-hawking secondary of the Broncos.

This will be a low-scoring game, but it’s a toss-up as to who will win the game.
