Too Conservative
I know Trent’s out for a few weeks and the coaches are trying to protect Huard, but that Denver game was ridiculous! This offense looks very stagnant, and blaming it on Roaf’s absent is not the excuse. The play calling is very questionable, particularily at the end of regulation. OK, you got the first down near mid field with LJ running, but then you go right back to him on 1st down and the clock running????? Maybe a screen pass to him or a flair pass to him near the sidelines with some blockers like the old days with Priest, that would’ve been better. Instead, the options was to run him up the middle and kill time as well as a time out with no gain. This offense has changed, and from the looks of the start of this season, for the worse. The conservative play calling got the starting QB almost decapitated and the rest of the offense a laughing stock of the NFL. If not for the Cincinnati defense playing prevent towards the end of the game last week, this offense would be shut out from the end zone.
I am a diehard Chiefs fan from childhood, but if this weak gameplan continues, this will be hard to continue to follow the team for this year. Even though I don’t live anywhere near KC or Missouri for that matter, I still make a trek every year to catch one or two of their games. Don’t think it will be worth my time or money to continue that trend this year, and unfortunately I don’t think I’m the only one that thinks like this either. I’ve noticed the dwindling numbers of followers and Chiefs jersy’s in the sports bars deep down in south Texas.

Jets fans are laughing at the fact that the Chiefs gave up a 4th round pick for Herman Edwards. They believe he was holding them back. The Jets are 2-1 now.
I agree TOTALLY!Edwards just needs to shut up and let the offensive coaches run the offense. And no,I’m not going to Arrowhead either.May check out the new stadium in Phoenix though.
Why pay the offensive coaches if Edwards wants to run it his way?
