Chiefs vs. Broncos
The Chiefs and Broncos are both run-first teams that had trouble last week. The Chiefs will try to run the ball often against the Broncos who have a weak defensive line, but very active linebackers. If the Chiefs have trouble running like they did last week, then the offense will be in trouble. QB Damon Huard on his best day is a below average QB with a lack of arm strength. Huard can scramble and that skill will help him behind a O-Line that has been weakened by age and retirement.Â
The Broncos will be running Tatum and Mike Bell at the Chiefs porous run defense. As soon as the run is established, Plummer will throw play-action passes to Javon Walker and Rod Smith. The Chiefs are going to try to hog the ball on offense, to keep their poor defense off the field. If the Chiefs can contol the clock they have a chance in this game. If the Chiefs can’t control the clock, they will get blown out by the Broncos.

looks like chiefs have d rod who
Don’t panic yet Chiefs fans. Our quarter back will be back on the field, and things will get better. The problem we have besides Trent Green, is turnovers. Four misques with handling the football in game one of the season, and two more turn-overs sunday start to raise a flag for me, about this offense. Statistically,
the chiefs should win both games if they don’t turn the ball over.I know the game isn’t played on paper, but the stats don’t lie.
Defensively,I applaud coach Herm Edwards for turning this defense around. The chiefs are stronger against the run, and the defensive secondary has looked pretty solid for the fist two weeks. Kansas City Chiefs football has always been about defense, and its good to see it again, but if we don’t let our horses run (Green, Johnson, Gonzales, Shields, & Waters)the chance to win goes out the window!
The object of the game isz to score points!
I don’t think the defense is improved that much. I think Edwards keeps the clock running on offense to limit his lousy defenses exposure to the other teams offense.
Chiefs are in a new “groove” with Herm. I love our team win or lose. However, I HATE the Broncos. Anyone want to speculate what the Thanksgiving game holds?
It’s a losing “groove” that Herman Edwards has brought to KC. I would predict a loss against the Broncos…unless….Herman Edwards is too sick to show up for the game. They might have a 50/50 chance then.
